WCUSC Mourns the Death of a Former Member
"The Soccer community has suffered a great loss."

(November 18, 2005) Andrew Lawrence, a Former West Chester United SC player, died of natural causes early Friday morning at his off-campus apartment in Boston . Andrew was a junior at Boston University . He was enrolled at the School of Management of and was pursuing a career in finance.

Andrew a very bright young man and was an honor roll student at Malvern Prep. From the age of 6 Andrew played soccer with a unique passion for the game with WCUSC and showed excellent talent. He continued to play the game through the years competing at a premier level culminating with 2 trips to the state cup finals with WCUSC FC United U-17 and U-18 boys in the EPYSA state cups.

He started his initial six years of travel soccer with the WCUSC Blitz (84/85) boys team, followed by the Spirit Coppa 82 II boys team (1985/1986) and also frequently guest played for the Spirit United Hotshots boys team (1984/1985). Andrew was a tremendously talented young player who was very well liked by his teammates and coaches. He was a member of a number of DELCO Select teams. On each and every team that Andrew played on, he always exhibited his great vision, skill and unselfishness that forever will be remember by all who were fortune enough to be part of the team Andrew was on.
