Former WCUSC Player Travels to Russia
(March 6, 2010) Haley Miller, former WCUSC player and daughter of WCUSC Board Member Mike Miller, was selected to the US Youth Soccer Region 1 team that is competing in the Under-19 Kuban (Russia) Women’s Soccer Tournament this month. The Region 1 team had their first game today, tying Russia’s Krasnodar Region 2 team 2-2. Haley was named to today’s starting line-up and played the full 80 minutes. SPRING 2010 IN-HOUSE LEAGUES
The WCUSC Spring 2010 First Touch and Recreation Soccer Leagues are for boys and girls from five to eighteen years old and are open to all children in West Chester & the surrounding area. Registration is available by using the online registration system. [February 1, 2010: Though the ’on-time’ registration period has closed, WCUSC is still accepting registration with a $20 late fee.] For any In-House Leagues questions, contact Damon Nolan.
FIRST TOUCH SPRING 2010 TRAINING
(January 25th, 2010) WCUSC announces the Spring 2010 Training as part of the club’s First Touch Soccer Program. The Spring 2010 Training is open to all U-06, U-07 & U-08 Players (Boys & Girls) and will be held on Friday Nights from 5:30 to 7:00PM with kick-off on March 26th. Under the direction of the WCUSC coaching staff and directors of coaching, it runs for five weeks to April 23rd. The training curriculum is focusing on ball-control, technique & coordination. WCUSC MEMBERS SPECIAL EVENT
The WCUSC Family Fun Day at the acac Fitness and Wellness Center was a hugh success. Over 60 families with more then 250 members enjoyed the many activities available at the acac facility in West Chester.
WCUSC and acac will be partnering again towards the summer for a second Family Fun Day that will include the use of the acac outdoor pools. Stayed tuned for an announcement with the date of this second event later this spring.

THREE WCUSC ALUMNI DRAFTED
(January 15, 2010) Former WCUSC player Becky Edwards was taken as the 12th overall player in the 2010 Women’s Professional Soccer (WPS) draft by FC Gold Pride (CA). Joining Edwards in the WPS draft were her WCUSC Predators’87 teammates Jill Hutchinson and Mallori Lofton-Malachi. Hutchinson (30th overall) and Lofton-Malachi (39th overall) were both drafted by the Atlanta Beat. Lofton-Malachi was then traded to the Philadelphia Independence. Congratulations to Becky, Jill, & Mallori; WCUSC wishes them best of luck as they start their professional soccer careers this spring.
