ABOUT:
The Penn Fusion Recreation League is a fun, competitive league based in the greater West Chester area offering boys and girls divisions for U6 through to High School age groups.  #InspireExcellenceThroughSoccer

QUESTIONS:

COST:

  • $150 (now through 1/31/24)

  • $175 (2/1/24 - 2/29/24)

  • $200 (3/1/24 onwards)

    • Roster spots not guaranteed during late registration period.

PLAY DATES:
During the spring games primarily take place on Sundays with some double header weekends (Sat/Sun).  All age groups play a minimum of 7 league games & 7 practices (the U10, U12, U14, HS age groups also have playoffs for the top 8 teams per division).

  • Regular Season Games

    • April: 7, 13, 14, 21, 28

    • May: 5, 12

  • End of Season Tournament (EOS): May 18 & May 19 (*U10-U19 age groups only)

    • End of Season Tournament Rain Date (EOS): June 1 & 2.

    • Top 8 teams per Division are eligible to participate in playoffs.

  • PFSA reserves the right to reschedule postponed games to any weekend date or during week in the event of weather cancellation or other Force Majeure.

​GAME SCHEDULES:

  • Schedules are expected to be released no later than March 21st.

  • The league will schedule game times between 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM (Sundays) and 8:00 AM-6:00 PM (Saturdays).  Schedules may vary week-to-week due to facility availability, weather conditions, rainouts etc.

  • The league cannot honor any schedule conflict requests, but will do our best to accommodate coaches with two teams.

TEAM FORMATION:

  • Balance of teams and league parity is the priority of the league.

  • Players will be assigned to teams according to age, skill level, and experience.

  • No active travel level players are permitted to play in the Penn Fusion Recreation Soccer League.

  • Special Requests:

    • No carpool or friend requests for the Spring 2024 Season! (no exceptions!)

    • Coach Requests: A Head Coach may request an Assistant Coach (must be a mutual matching request).

    • Siblings/Twins in the same age group/gender - will automatically be placed on the same team.

  • ​​Coaches:

    • ​Coaches are assigned by the league.

    • Players/Families can NOT request a specific coach.

    • Interested in coaching?  Please complete the Coach Interest Form, upon form submissions a staff member will reach out to shortly!

TRAINING DAYS:

  • U6 & U7 Age Groups: The U6 & U7 age groups are expected to train on a specific day and time are assigned by the league, typically in the6-7pm time slot.

    • U6 Boys: Monday @ Oak Lane Fields (the Westtown School)

    • U7 Boys Wednesday @ Oak Lane Fields (the Westtown School)

    • U6 Girls Tuesday @ Oak Lane Fields (the Westtown School)

    • U7 Girls Thursday @ Oak Lane Fields (the Westtown School)

      • ​If the designated age group day is conflict for your family, register as soon as possible to reserve a spot in the league regardless. If there are multiple players with similar conflicts the club may be able to find a volunteer coach/team that can take a team on a different day. If the club cannot accommodate your conflict, you will be offered a refund as long as you withdraw at least 2 days prior to the first weekend of play.

  • ​​U8 through High School Age Groups:

    • Coaches in these age groups select their preferred day, time, & location for practices.

    • Once each roster is formed the Head Coach will email his/her roster a 'Welcome Email' outlining practice location/time details etc.  Please contact your coach to confirm practice location/time.

    • In registration parents have the option to select one conflict night, your child will not be assigned on a team that practices on your ‘conflict’ night.

COACHES MEETING

  • Mandatory coaches meetings will be held on March 26th.

PARENTS MEETING U6 & U7:

  • A mandatory parents meeting will be held via ZOOM on TBA.


VOLUNTEER COACHES NEEDED:
If you are interested in coaching in a particular age group, PLEASE COMPLETE THE COACH INTEREST FORM. Coaching is a great opportunity to volunteer, give back to game and connect with your child and their friends.  All coaches are provided adidas coaching shirt each season and provided an online coaching curriculum with printable training session plans.

REFUND POLICY:

  • Refunds may be requested up until three full weeks prior to the opening game day (minimum of 15 full business days). A $25 admin fee is applied to all refunds.

  • After the above period a player may withdraw from the league but no refund can be issued.

  • Penn Fusion does not guarantee a minimum number of games and is not responsible for games and practices lost due to weather and/or field conditions. No refunds or partial refunds will be issued due to games lost because of weather and/or field conditions.

AGE GROUP CHART:

  • The league manages age groups based upon 'Birth Year' not calendar year.  This change is directed from our national governing body US Soccer. Each age group is managed by a volunteer Age Group Commissioner (AGC); AGC’s oversee the team formation process, which includes coach & player assignments.
